For some people when they are trying to get rid of the drug habit they could easily end up facing more of a challenge than they think. First thing is you must be committed to your recovery from addiction by this I mean that half measures will get you nothing but a relapse. Ok now what I would suggest that you do and this is what I did myself attend a meeting every day for no less than 90 days. I did back to back 90 in 90’s. This will get you a fairly solid recovery foundation.

While attending these meetings get some phone numbers from other addicts or alcoholics and call them. It will do you absolutely no good if you do not use them. We need to practice calling others in case we feel like using.

Another thing I strongly suggest is that you look for a sponsor. You will know who this is because there will be something about their message or the way they are living their life that attracts you to them. This is enough for a good start on your recovery but you will have to practice it daily.
