Should you ever over indulge in a night of drinking and become particularly sick you may have had the good fortune of being helped with alcohol poisoning treatment by your wife or another family member. Then saline or hot water is pumped into the stomach, and then pumped out again. This continues until there is nothing coming out of the stomach but either the hot water or saline. Easy enough and not that bad, considering you’ll most likely be unconscious during the whole procedure.


The most important part of the treatment is not actually the procedure in which the contents of your stomach are removed, however. Above all other things that can be done someone will have to take control of the situation and call for help. Over consumption is bad, but not calling for help when someone might be in danger of losing their life to a mind altering drink is even worse. It is time to call for help when the person you suspect of over drinking appears to be asleep and when they do not respond to you when your best efforts to wake them are foiled. From there they will be transferred to a hospital and taken immediate care of using the procedure described before.

Avoid playing drinking games they can be deadly

One thing I want to add about how to prevent alcohol poisoning is that if you are a student of you person going to a party do not participate in any alcohol games. This is very dangerous and many folks have actually died of drinking like this from an alcohol overdose.
