This article is for those who may be interested or wondering where heroin came from and about heroin addiction. Well heroin was actually invented in Germany in the late 1800’s. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that from my experience with the heroin drug that I would be willing to bet that although they may not have known it at the time but  heroin addiction would have started showing up in as little as 2 or 3 months after it was introduced to market.

This drug is like a hurricane and literally destroys the people who abuse it. Some talented singers have called heroin is my wife and heroin is my life. This is no exaggeration this drug is so powerful it can indeed take every thing that you once cherished from you; for instance, the car, your money, your wife, and loved ones, but most of all in the end it will for a fact claim your life be it from heroin overdose or dying from a drug related crime.

There are some people who find heroin addiction recovery but they are few and far between. I have heard the tired old lie once a heroin junkie always a heroin junkie. This is far from the truth people do recover from all types of drugs including heroin addiction. I am a prime example that you can recover from addiction one day at a time. Another thing to keep in mind is that it is never too late to stop using until they chuck you in the grave. I used drugs for over 30 years and I got clean with a heroin detox and went back to school. I love to write about this I am not bragging I am just trying to encourage others that they can stop using drugs and find a new way to live. It has been my experience to see and live this first hand. You can do it too but it takes action.

You can start by making a commitment to your heroin addiction recovery that you are not going to use for just one day. I would recommend that if you make this commitment that you make another one at the same time and this would be to attend a 12 step meeting daily. I like NA because I relate well to the other addicts there but AA will work too. These programs are helping addicts daily around the world to stop drinking and using drugs. Another thing you can do if you can not stop using heroin is go to heroin addiction rehab. There you can go through heroin withdrawal comfortably with a medical heroin detox.

Like I said earlier it will take action but you can get clean why not take the opertunity to quit using today before it is to late!
