Heroin withdrawal

Heroin is becoming one of the drugs of choice it is usually snorted by young adults and they have really taken a liking to this drug. One reason for this is the heroin is a lot more pure than days gone by. I am from the old school and before I got clean my preferred method of using this drug was shooting heroin.

There are ways to kick heroin.

One way is to detox from heroin. To do this you will have to have the desire to stop using heroin if you do not then do not waste your time.

It is however very addictive no matter which way you choose to do it. The heroin withdrawal is quite viscous also.

This is the main reason that heroin addicts continue too use is because they do not know how to get through heroin withdrawal. Today I am going to share with you a great way to kick heroin. The method I will be talking about is know as a subutex detox for heroin withdrawal.

Here I will try to explain how to detox for heroin. First thing is prepare yourself mentally. I think this is a good idea because when you actually quit using heroin it will give you and edge on what exactly you will be facing.

OK here is a list of what you must face with a cold turkey heroin withdrawal.

1. You must fight against the desire to use because the disease will tell you the heck with this lets go get a bag.

2. You will more than likely vomit frequently so be prepared for this.

3. You may have hot or cold sweats.

4. Stomach and leg cramps.

10. Yawning.

I would suggest that you find a family member or friend to come stay with you while you detox from heroin.

This can be quite helpful because they can run to the store if you happen to need smokes or what ever.

They can also be there for support to make sure that you do not leave the premises to go get high.

I would recommend that you stay awake for 24 to 36 hours before you intend to quit using and start your heroin detox. This will help you to sleep through most of the withdrawal.

Keep in mind that it will not be a cake walk it will take a lot of effort on your part but you will be very satisfied that you chose to quit heroin this way without the use of other mind altering drugs.

When you are completely detoxed you will now be drug free. Now it is time to clean up the rest of your life.

I don’t know what your story is but I had bills galore to take care of from car payments to rent. I did not take care of anything but my addiction to heroin.

This being said make a to do list and work at it one by one. I would also suggest that you do something for your recovery. Maybe NA meetings or addiction counseling will help but you must take action if you wish to remain clean.

Once you are clean the world is yours, you can basically do everything you ever dreamed of doing but could not because of your addiction to drugs and fear of heroin withdrawal.

Maybe you want to further your career or go back to school. While I was in long to term treatment I went back to school.

I am currently getting close to finishing a bachelors degree in Social Work. Imagine that a heroin addict who used for over 30 years going back to school and getting a degree you can do it too if you remain clean.

Rapid heroin detox

There is another way in which to stop using heroin which is a rather new procedure and this is called rapid heroin detox.

With rapid detox you will be given anesthesia by a staff of trained professionals. Then they will give you drugs to remove the opiates from your body all the while you will be unconscious.

Upon awaking I seriously doubt that you will remember anything much less going through heroin withdrawal Anyway this is the plan. One further thing you should keep in mind is that this procedure costs in the thousands of dollars. Some people say that this procedure is a God send while others say it is lacking. I can tell you that some patients have died from being under to long.

These are all some great ways to kick heroin but you must take action for any of them to work. Why not stop using heroin now and find a new and better way to live!!
